Middle-Aged Design Director's Struggles: Keep Up the Practice

A friend suggested that the title shouldn’t be too plain. This time, I’ve really gone for a clickbait title.
I love creating with graphics and colors, but at different stages, I’ve always felt my understanding of these two areas is lacking. So, I need practice intermittently. Here’s some recent practice in this area.
One piece a day. It goes pretty fast. After dinner or breakfast, I’ll spend 15-20 minutes lounging on the sofa, thinking about the day’s experiences or ideas, choosing some color combinations (this takes a bit of time), and then creating freely without worrying about the piece’s perfection.
It’s a fun process, especially as you accumulate more pieces and they start to feel like a series. It’s a way to keep my sensitivity to graphics and colors sharp and to stockpile material for future designs and creations. Isn’t that great?
Suddenly, I had the idea to create a group called “Daily Practice for Designers,” where like-minded people can come together to enjoy some casual creation, so it doesn’t feel so lonely. If you’re interested in joining, leave a comment and raise your hand. I’ll create the group if we get more than 10 people.
Also, here’s some startling news: this account has been running for 4 years, published 87 pieces (images/text), and finally surpassed 500 followers the day before yesterday. 😄
Hurry and share it, 500 loyal fans!
