Make the Most of Your Time
Sometimes, at work, I find myself just “getting by.” Why take life too seriously?
But seeing the shining works and stories of those who have labored intensely fills me with deep regret.
If this is the path I’ve chosen, I should walk it with all my might. Or perhaps, choose a different path? Either way, I need to think it through.
A person’s most precious resource is time. If you’re “getting by,” you’re using your “life” to just get by. I won’t do that. Besides, as a Christian, my work is done before the Lord. How could I dare to just get by in front of the Creator?
Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. (Psalm 90:12, NIV)
Make the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. (Ephesians 5:16-17, NIV)
