Five-Minute Writing
I originally started a WeChat public account to create opportunities for myself to “write.” But actually, I didn’t write much. The main reasons: picking up a pen during a busy workday is too hard; clearly explaining something is too hard; writing a piece that resonates and gets likes and rewards is too hard. So, gradually I gave up.
Last week, I had a sudden idea: write for “five minutes” every day. I set a “five-minute” timer. The ticking forces me to think quickly, to record quickly. It’s very effective, I’m writing again.
Recently moved. Used to have a “ten-minute” commute, now it’s “an hour and a half.” Oddly enough, I’m more punctual for work now. Haha, people are really interesting, aren’t they?
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Philippians 4:4 (NIV)
