Autumn
Open the bathroom door, step out — a cool draft. Autumn’s here. Snuck up on me.
Moved into the new place. The commute’s almost an hour and a half each way. Tiring, but I can take it. Plenty of “programming” along the way, too.
Right now, my wife and kids are asleep. I’m alone, standing in a 1999 apartment in Xuhui District, typing this. Cool wind outside. Crickets.
