It’s been a while since I’ve shown my face. To prep for a team introduction, I took out the 400D and snapped some photos of everyone. Spent quite a bit of effort on the layout design, using some theories from the book “Layout Design” I’ve been reading lately. (I recommend it to designers interested in layout design.)

Not sure how far this team will go, but for as long as I’m here, I want to infuse design into every aspect of the company. So even for a team introduction—which in the past might have been just “everything it should be”—I now aim to make it outstanding. If we’re fortunate enough to become a company, I hope it’s genuinely design-driven. Just shouting slogans isn’t enough; we need to make it real. At the very least, through actions and details, I want my teammates to feel the presence of design.

Just today, Houye, a software engineer, said, “Creating a resume this way gives it a much classier feel.”

There’s a sense of achievement in that.
