God's Grace—My Nose

Everyone knows sinusitis is a stubborn issue that modern medicine can’t solve.

And I’m someone who suffers deeply from it. Every day, like clockwork, I wake up around 1 AM due to sneezing or a runny nose. This has been my life for over a year, worse in winter.

Imagine living with this every day. Now imagine living like this for decades. I felt pretty hopeless, until one night, I let out a frustrated yell, “Why is it like this?!”

But I’m a Christian. The God I trust is the one who created the heavens and the earth, the only true God. Doesn’t Jesus have authority? Didn’t He rise from the dead? Thinking of this, I offered a simple prayer before bed last night, asking Jesus to protect my nose, my sleep.

In the middle of the night, my nose itched so much, I almost sneezed multiple times. In that half-asleep, half-awake state, I called out, “Jesus, Jesus.”

When I woke up in the morning, up until now, I haven’t had a runny nose or sneezed.

Thank God.

I don’t know what tonight or tomorrow will bring, but today, I’m truly thankful to God.

Of course, I’m someone who easily forgets God’s grace, so I’m writing this down to keep from forgetting.
