Grandpa and the Stroke

I’ve always been afraid of the dead or dying. But when I saw my grandpa, who wasn’t fully lucid, I wasn’t scared. He was still alive, though his right eye was blurry.

I leaned close to his ear and loudly told him I had come to see him. My aunt said it was no use; he couldn’t make out what was happening anymore.

When I held his hand, hugged his head, and rested my forehead against his face, I saw a tear in the corner of his left eye.

He was not only alive, but also very clear in his heart.

The family said they didn’t think grandpa would hold on much longer.

But I always felt he might get better.

I thought how wonderful it would be to see him laugh heartily again.

I prayed for him, hoping he would accept Jesus. Honestly, I lacked the faith for it; not only did I lack faith, but I felt a lot of pressure. My wife told me that God would work in the situation.

I think she’s right.
