Carrot Spacecraft HT 07

On summer nights in the city, I miss the childhood skies in the countryside.
Back then, the nights were hot too, but there was wind.
The dark blue canvas, with stars twinkling. Sometimes, it was fireflies that flickered.
The night was purely black. Unlike the city, with its noisy lights.
The croaking frogs and the scent of fruit lulled me to sleep; sometimes crickets in the corners joined in the lively mix.
These are memories from before I turned 15.
After that, I spent less and less time at home.
I’ve lived in the city for so long, but I’m still a farmer at heart. I’m willing to be one. Someday, I’ll really go back to farm.
I love the countryside.
Today is my mom’s birthday; I feel a bit homesick.
There’s this carrot spacecraft, HT 07. I sneaked aboard, getting ready to return to my hometown.
Goodnight, everyone.
